Electrical conductivity

Electrical conductivity at hoses can according to DIN EN 12115 be achieved by means of copper wires incorporated (M-Hoses) or an appropriately conductive rubber quality (Ω-Hoses).

In hose assemblies, hoses with end fittings, the medium and the transport line may become electrostatically charged.

In the test standard DIN EN ISO 8031, the determination of the electrical resistance and the electrical conductivity is listed.

We distinguish the following cases:

Marking

Ω * Ω /T** M* M/T**
Electrical conductivity measured between hose end fittings (Resistance) max. 10^6 Ω max. 10^6 Ω max. 10^2 Ω max.10^2 Ω from ≥ 10^6 Ω to ≤ 10^9 Ω

Resistance max. 10^9 Ω required

Electrical conductivity through tube wall no yes no yes no
Designation of conductivity conductive conductive eletrically bonded electrically bonded antistatic / insulating

*) for explosive mixtures
**) for explosive environments and mixtures
