ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY

Under certain circumstances, both the medium being handled and the transport line may become electrostatically charged.

One can achieve electrical conductivity in hoses with the help of embedded copper wire or by using a rubber with the correct conductivity.

One can distinguish between the following cases:

Conductivity Resistance [Ohm ]
Marking** Explanation
Electrically conductive R <= 106 (10 exp 6) Ohm conductive material
R <= 102 * (10 exp 2) M Metallic conductor worked in
Antistatic R <= 109 (10 exp 9)
Non-conductive R > 109 (10 exp 9)
